The challenge
Dell approached Open Vista with the ambitious goal of improving its data centers through a comprehensive infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) strategy. The main focus was on setting up storage networks capable of meeting the various client needs while remaining compatible with the latest advances in server hardware and virtualization. The stakes were high, with more than 50 projects on the horizon, each with its own requirements and challenges.
Open Vista's approach
A comprehensive plan designed to manage the complex landscape of heterogeneous SAN deployments, under the supervision of Open Vista's IT director. The projects included implementing Compellent and EqualLogic storage networks, integrating Dell PowerVault storage, and incorporating Dell PowerEdge systems into the cloud environment. An overall strategy focused on planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all project operations, including scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
Open Vista's team consists of 10 to 15 skilled professionals working in a matrix structure. They ensure optimal communication, collaboration, and coordination. Our experts played a decisive role in developing project strategies, strengthening working relationships, and proactively resolving difficulties.

The projects presented varied challenges, with short timelines ranging from one week to three months and budgets ranging from $500,000 to $2 million. Open Vista demonstrated its ability to adapt and scale. Precise identification and control of risks and issues ensured the rapid, cost-effective completion of each project.
