Cybersecurity in Morocco
Open Vista supports Moroccan companies in auditing, protecting and monitoring their information system. Our approach combines consulting, proven tools (EDR, Wazuh SIEM, penetration testing) and compliance support, with one priority: reducing real risks before stacking licences.
Scope and pricing defined on quotation, after an audit.
Why cybersecurity has become a management topic
A Moroccan company's information system is no longer limited to its office: it includes remote access, cloud services, providers and mobile employees. Every opening adds attack surface, and the most frequent incidents do not come from sophisticated attackers but from poorly protected accounts, unpatched systems and backups that were never tested.
Cybersecurity means reducing these risks methodically, starting from what is actually exposed. Our work begins with an audit: understanding the architecture, flows, access and sensitive data, then proposing a prioritised action plan. The Moroccan regulatory framework, in particular Law 09-08 on the protection of personal data and CNDP requirements, adds a traceability and governance obligation that aligns with technical best practices.
What we secure
Useful security covers the assets that are genuinely critical to your business, not a product list.
Workstations and identities
Workstation hardening, privileged account management, stronger authentication and protection of the entry points most used by attackers.
Servers and cloud services
Configuration review, updates, access segregation, verified backups and control of services exposed to the Internet.
Network and remote access
Segmentation, filtering rules, protection of remote access and monitoring of sensitive connections to your business applications.
Data and backups
Classification of sensitive data, backup policy, media encryption and restore tests to withstand ransomware.
Web applications
Penetration tests on your portals and business applications, dependency review and fixes prioritised by real exploitability.
Users and awareness
Training on essential reflexes, phishing simulations and a clear incident reporting procedure.
Four steps to secure without blocking the business
We prioritise measures that genuinely protect, starting with those that can be deployed quickly.
Audit and mapping
We identify critical assets, access, dependencies and immediate risks; the exact scope of the test or audit is defined with you.
Prioritised action plan
Each finding is ranked by impact and ease of exploitation, with a clear proposal of the fixes to carry out first.
Deployment of protections
Implementation of the selected measures: EDR, Wazuh SIEM, hardening, backups, segmentation and application fixes.
Monitoring and response
We monitor alerts, qualify incidents and document actions; responsibilities and escalation procedures are written into the contract.
Continuous monitoring and improvement
Findings and alerts feed a regular review: we adjust detection rules, remediation priorities and procedures, and document the decisions taken.
For which organisations?
Our assignments address organisations that have data to protect and operations to maintain.
SMEs and mid-sized companies
You have no dedicated security team, but your clients, data and access deserve better than a default antivirus.
Software vendors and hosting providers
You operate online services or customer platforms and must demonstrate a credible level of security to your users.
Organisations subject to Law 09-08
You process personal data and must document your practices, security measures and governance.
What we do not do (and why we say it)
An honest approach starts with a clear scope. We do not certify absolute security and we do not promise total protection: zero risk does not exist. Nor do we sell products without first identifying the real need. Every assignment specifies the systems tested, the exclusions, the deliverables and the responsibilities.
- A report readable by management and by your technical teams, with explicit priorities.
- Fixes proposed according to real risk, not the latest market trend.
- Compliance support built on your existing practices, without unnecessary documentation overhead.
Cybersecurity and compliance in Morocco
Law 09-08 on the protection of personal data governs processing, informing individuals and access rights. For a company handling Moroccan clients' data, this implies documented governance, proportionate security measures and the ability to demonstrate the controls in place. The CNDP plays a central role in this framework.
Our assignments rely on these requirements without confusing them with an international standard. We can also prepare an ISO 27001 approach when the organisation is aiming for certification: gap analysis, structuring of controls, documentation and support before the audit.

Frequently asked questions about cybersecurity
How much does a cybersecurity audit in Morocco cost?
The price depends on the number of systems to examine, the depth of the test and the expected deliverables. It is quoted after an initial discussion: we prefer to define the scope precisely rather than offer a misleading uniform rate.
Is penetration testing dangerous for production?
A properly prepared test is framed: written scope, agreed test window, precautions for intrusive tests and restoration of environments if necessary. The riskiest scenarios are discussed with you before execution.
EDR or SIEM: do you need both?
Not systematically. EDR protects and detects on workstations and servers, while Wazuh SIEM centralises and correlates events. The right choice depends on your size, exposure and ability to handle alerts.
What happens in the event of ransomware or an incident?
We apply the defined incident procedure: isolation of affected systems, evidence preservation, scope assessment, restoration from verified backups and a documented lessons-learned review. The exact response depends on your level of preparation.
